Deferred Compensation Unit

The County of Sacramento and Fidelity Investments offer free educational workshops designed to give employees the knowledge and confidence they need to build a more secure financial future.  This workshop series targets the employees’ overall financial health and is designed to meet employees “where they are” regarding their own financial situations.

The objective is to develop creative ways of delivering and reinforcing knowledge about retirement investing, more depth in the activities employees participate in during the workshops, generate topics for plan sponsors and employees that are more customized, encourage more interaction between the facilitator and the employees, and deliver the help necessary for taking action.

These workshops will show employees some simple steps to take in order to get and keep them on track toward meeting their goals.  Fidelity Retirement Counselors create an informal and engaging environment in which employees are encouraged to complete written exercises, ask questions, and participate in discussions.
