Department's
Employment Office is the
organization that can help you and other applicants gain
employment with the County of
Sacramento.
The Employment Office is responsible for administering the County Classification Plan;
collecting salary
information and recommending salaries for County classes; developing job-related examinations for County
classes;
administering County Civil Service examinations; and certifying eligible applicants for
employment.
OUR GOALS INCLUDE:
Improving the effectiveness of the
County’s wages, hours, benefits, and working
conditions in attracting and retaining a
quality workforce in an increasingly competitive job market;
Improving timeliness and insuring quality in the hiring process in response to
critical issues that
affect employment, and in all other services provided by PSD;
Administering and scoring Civil Service examinations within established time
frames;
Establishing and maintaining eligible lists and responding to department certification
requests within established time frames; and
Providing accurate information regarding employment to the public and county
employees.
